About the Event

Join anthropologist Fiammetta Martegani as she teaches us the fundamentals of Ikebana. This ancient, Zen Japanese art of arranging flowers dates back to the 7th century. Today, it is a popular mindfulness tool that encourages you to explore your creativity through flower arranging.

In this 3-part introductory course of Ikebana, you will have a deep understanding of the history and the aesthetic of Ikebana, plus Japanese art in general.  Fiammetta will explain the techniques and symbolism of Ikebana so that you will be able to continue practicing on your own and weave this ancient mindfulness technique into your life.
